Time for RV Awning Replacement Again?
A recreational vehicle is a great thing. You can go on all kind of adventures across the country either by yourself or with friends and family. It's like home on wheels that can carry all of your favorite electronics including televisions, game systems, a radio, even a washer and dryer so you don't have to stop and spend your money at a laundromat. In spite of how wonderful these moving homes are, there comes a time when you may need some RV replacement parts, particularly an RV awning replacement to keep your vacation experience in pristine condition.
The rv awning is very important; you need it on a sunny day to keep the heat out and to make sure that you have an enjoyable day. Sometimes you're going to run into problems though. While the awning fabric is tough, it's not completely invincible and there are a number of different things that can happen.
It's possible that a tree fell on your awning, or maybe a strong wind blew it off. Or maybe you absent mindedly left the awning deployed when you took off driving and smashed it on a freeway sign. No matter what you did, you should know that you have the ability to replace it. It's not quite as simple as it sounds, though; there are actually a few different types of rv awning replacement out there that you can use.
The first type out there is the rope and pole awning, which isn't exactly the best you can buy, but it's fairly cheap and easy to set up. This mounts permanently to the side of the recreational vehicle after you drill a few holes in it, and the awning extends about eight feet. This will provide an adequate amount of protection for both you and your family.
Next, there is the motorized retractable awning, which once again attaches to the side of your recreational vehicle and uses a motor to push out and retract the awning. These are great because you never have to deploy them on your own. They are a bit expensive but the ease of use should be worth the extra cash.
Those are just two examples of the RV replacement awnings that you can get, and keep in mind that you may not actually have to replace the entire unit, if it is just the fabric that is torn then you'll only have to replace that, and there are tons of choices for materials online.
Keep in mind that replacing the awning itself is not as easy as it seems. There will normally be a set of instructions with it, as every awning is different, and so is the procedure for changing it. You will normally need two or three extra people assisting you.
A damaged awning shouldn't mean a ruined vehicle, so if it happens then look into a replacement awning device or fabric. If nothing else, use an unfortunate accident as a reason to buy a new unit!
